3 tbsp of cocoa powder

See the keto version for more information.

Baking powder, 1/2 tsp

1/4 teaspoon salt

Sweetener of Choice, 3 1/2 tbsp

Oil-free chocolate mug cakes can be made with 2 tbsp of oil.

Water or milk of your choice, six tablespoons

1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 F. Grease a mug or two small dishes very well. Mix all the dry ingredients, then add the wet and combine to form a cake batter. You can bake it for 12 minutes or use the microwave to make it fluffy. My microwave took about 2 minutes, but yours may vary. You can eat it straight out of the mug, let it cool down completely, and then cut around the edges with a knife. Serve with whipped cream, ice cream, or whatever you like.
